LARKANA: Sindh’s Health Minister Sikander Ali Mandhro during his visit to Chandka Hospitalon Tuesday said that shortage of medics, paramedics, staff nurses and other required staff in the provincial hospitals will soon be overcome to help poor ailing patients. He visited Casualty, Civil Hospital’s Orthopedic Surgery Ward, Teaching Block Hospital, and Shaikh Zayed Hospital for Women, Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and inquired from the admitted patients about provisions of medicines and other facilities. The health minister stated that he has been receiving complaints about the absence of consultants and other doctors from their duty places, but this will soon be addressed and action will taken against those who are not performing their duties properly. It must be noted here that during his last visit the Minister ordered suspension of as many as 16 doctors of Sehwan Hospital which he found absent.
