ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain said that Brunei Darussalam is ‘close and trusted’ friend of Pakistan and emphasised to further cementing the relations.
He said this while talking to the newly appointed High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Major General (r) Tariq Rashid Khan on Thursday. Hussain asked the High Commissioner to play his role to further improve relations between the two countries.
He pointed out the vast opportunities of investments in both the countries and urged the businessmen of both countries to take benefit of the opportunities. He said to promote investment in both the countries, establishing air links was needed.
The president also underlined mutual cooperation to promote defence ties and said that Brunei Darussalam needs manpower and Pakistan can fulfil its requirement in this regard.
